i can't explain how it pleases me
to open up a book and begin to read

sure i'm a nerd - but can't change who i am
i love to read - why should you give a damn?

about what i do - and how i spend my time
it's my choice - and it's a big part of my life

when i was young i thought school SUCKED
but then - something changed
i started to read MORE and began to use my brain
(well, what little there is left of it)

upon graduation
my infatuation with learning only grew
