Farewell to wild seas
And wind that sends you sprawling
I'm bound away, counting the days
The Big Smoke Is calling

While the boat is running
Before the leaves are falling
I've made up my mind, this is my time
The Big Smoke Is calling... is calling

I'll miss my own folk
But I won't miss the blether
Small town talk or the filthy weather
The Big Smoke Is calling

Rowan says she'll have me
We'll face the world together
Somewhere I belong forever
The Big Smoke Is calling... is calling

Farewell to wild seas
And wind that sends you sprawling
I'm bound away, counting the days
The Big Smoke Is calling
